Busy Day

Busy day today, trying to make it count.

Was up at 5:30 to make sure my son got to work on time.  He is 23 but we have a special project at work and there was no room for him not being on time.  Once up, stayed up, I like the quiet of the morning.  By about 2:30 I hit a brick wall, was so tired.  But this morning got a box of stuff priced for an August yard sale, listed 2 items on Amazon, hung out 4 loads of laundry and went to church.  Tonight we went to the casino because as usual my dear husband was bored.  I won $53.00 yea!!  It goes into the cash stash which I will be making a graph for as soon as I figure out how. :)  This is my small emergency fund.  Unfortunately always seems to come in too handy.  Need to get a handle on that. 

Introduction

This is a personal blog.   Only my observations, my life, my successes and failures.  This is not an advice blog.

Many years ago I was given a writing regarding living your life on purpose for the next 5 years.  I will publish it tomorrow, not sure who wrote it but it written very well.  It makes you contemplate how your choices affect your life and really how not making choices affect your life.

My goal is to retire in 5 years from my birthday, September 27th.  I am 54 so retirement would be 60. approximately the time my husband will retire.  I am pitifully unprepared as are a majority of American's entering retirement.  This blog will document my attempts and trials to become prepared, the things I enjoy, goals, work, exercise, weight loss, debt repayment, to live my life fully for the next 5 years and simultaneously to be prepare for retirement.
